A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,

March 2018 SASPC Mid Month Reminder, Top5 & Prize Winners Post

Oh, well, that's quite a long title for a post, but that is what this post is about: we will be announcing our Top5 and prize winners from the February challenge AND also share the second round of inspirational projects created by Team B today...so let me just say a short "Servus, hi and thanks for stopping by!" and move directly to the challenge facts for our current March challenge, which is once more an "Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial" themed one and still open until the end of the month.

By playing along you get the chance to win one of the two fab prize bundles donated by our generous sponsors DecoArt media and boozybear steampunk chipboard pieces. And you might also find yourselves being picked as one of our Top5 (that are picked by the whole team after each challenge has ended)....all you have to do is play along and follow our few and simple challenge rules

With that said, let's directly move on to the makes of Team B. My wonderfully creative ladies have once more put a lot of love and labour into creating something for your inspiration, so, if you take a second to visit their blogs (by clicking on the names) and leave a short comment there, this is highly appreciated!

created this amazing and beautiful canvas
for her "Rusty Fantasies" canvas series
using some brilliantly done faux rust techniques

(I love the rusty sea star I have spotted! And the pipes to the left are so cool! Oh, and do I also spot some corrugated card? Yummy!!!)

could not pass this month by without a tribute to her favourite holiday - St. Patrick's Day!
She tells you to "Look for a mischievous leprechaun and see if you can get him to give you his gold!"

(I spot more corrugated card! Yesssss!!!!)

created a steampunk mini album
using acrylic paints, stencils, dies and ephemera from her stash

The inside looks great too!

(I just love the vintage photograph on the left page and the background patterns!)

et moi

I have created a fun steampunk chunky from corrugated card (lol...here we go again) left overs,
using different bits 'n bobs that I found during tidying up and reorganizing some of my
"trash treasures" and "quickly put to the side" boxes.

Finding long forgotten stash (like the stamp I used on this project and the die cut gears) while tidying up can be a great source of inspiration! The only problem is that the tidying now will have to wait until you have created something with the re-found oldies! Ore maybe a bit longer...lol

Now let's directly move on to the prize winners, which are...

#21 - Senna

who won the DecoArt media prize bundle

and

#5 - Sue

who won a surprise steampunk chipboard package from

Congrats on your prize wins, ladies, and thanks so much for playing along! Please, email me, so I can forward your shipping details to my generous sponsors to have your goodies be sent to you asap! Have fun!

And last but not least...drumroll for our Top5 from the February challenge! These were - as always - hard to pick and - as always - had a lot of follower ups. Thank you to ALL OUR PLAYERS for entering such amazing and inspiring projects! You know that it is YOU, who make this spot the special creative spot it has become, don't you? XXX

created a beautiful art journal spread using
boozybear chipboard pieces,
titled
"Umbrella Man"

made a crazy altered (working) thermometer
and I just love how she has combined all the fab objects
and turned everything into treasure!

The compass seems to function too! So cool!

little guy is impatiently waiting for spring
(well, who isn't?)

I love how heavy and real the metal parts look!

and

has turned a jewellery stand into an amazing
table lamp,
using DecoArt Metallic Lustre
and other mixed media products.

and after the incredible transformation:
